What are your beliefs about 'faith'? Is it something only the righteous get to experience? Only those tied to an organized religion? Does it make any kind of difference to use 'faith' in our day to day lives?
The word 'faith' shows up in our language and conversations with each other. We say things like; 'don't you have faith in me? I have faith in them, it’s important to have faith in God, she has always been faithful to him" etc. But what does it really mean?
Perhaps the mechanism of faith is simply our ability to imagine and feel into the experience that we desire as if it was happening in the present moment, even though it has not yet manifested in physical form. When we believe it's possible and can feel how good it's going to feel NOW - even without any immediate evidence - we are demonstrating faith.
What if 'faith' were simply our natural ability to create our reality through the quantum field? A skill we are born with and can gain experience and success with the more we use it?
Children do this naturally. They imagine how it is to be the doctor, teacher, or fireman in the moment when they play. Their joy comes for imagining the experience NOW - along with all of the good feeling that goes with it. If they keep at it long enough on the inside, they will manifest it in their lives at some point. We've all met these people during our lives - those that wanted to become a fireman, a singer, an actress, or a cowboy as a child and became one as an adult.
Faith is finding the 'feeling place' of what we desire (healthy body, successful work, financial freedom, connection to God, etc.), and training ourselves to focus our attention there - even though it has not happened yet. Faith is the skill of imagining what is possible with all of our senses regardless of how things are in our current reality.
Begin listening to the story you are telling yourself and others about your desire and noticing if it matches up to what you want to create. If it doesn’t match up, (you can tell if it feels bad or feels old and outdated to your own ears), it's time to create a new story. Time to get creative and tell the story about how you want it to be. You don't have to make up a ‘foo foo’ story that isn’t true for you in the moment, just tell a better one about where you are going. I like this one; 'although I'm not yet sure how it’s going to happen, I can feel how good it's going to feel when I get there. I’m excited about what is coming and can feel that good feeling right now. It feels good to feel good in this moment.' Where you place your faith (attention and feelings) today will generate your future experiences for tomorrow.
How will you use your 'faith' today?
